Would love to hear your thoughts when you finish it.Donovan Richardshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18057813401494003731noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8062875204400625695.post-64721626098866818672011-06-04T13:49:38.122-07:002011-06-04T13:49:38.122-07:00When I was younger, I devoured Madeleine L'Eng...When I was younger, I devoured Madeleine L'Engle and Ursula K. Le Guin, but keep in mind I was a SciFi/Fantasy buff.
I just attended a bookreading by Catherynne M Valente, and she was very funny and charming, and though I purchased (2010 Hugo nominated) Palimpsest, I have not read it.Monkey in a Spacesuithttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04431286775869343241noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8062875204400625695.post-54572051446332778082010-11-01T10:21:21.546-07:002010-11-01T10:21:21.546-07:00I took a course in college called Women and Litera...I took a course in college called Women and Literature. Fitting, I should think for your question. I adore Zora Neal Hurston ("Their Eyes Were Watching God"), Dorothy Parker, Eudora Welty ("The Optimist's Daughter"), Virginia Woolf ("To the Lighthouse"), and Kate Chopin ("The Awakening"). Of course there is always Jane Austin. Melba Pattillo Beals wrote a moving book called "Warriors Don't Cry" about the integration of Little Rock Central High. Finally, Betty Smith's "A Tree Grows in Brooklyn". Just to name a few. Sorry to ramble.Jessiehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03359364007655589231noreply@blogger.com
